In computing, an image scanner scanner is often abbreviated simply a device that optically scans images, printed texts, manuscripts, or object, and turns it into a digital image. Common examples are found in offices are variants of the desktop scanner where the document is placed on the scanner glass. Handheld scanners, the device is moved by hand, have evolved from text scanning, reverse engineering, test and measurement, orthotics, gaming and other applications. Power-driven scanners that move the paper commonly used for large format documents in a flatbed design would be impractical.
Modern scanners typically use a charge-coupled device, or as a Contact Image Sensor Image Sensor, while the old drum scanners use photomultiplier tubes of the image sensor. Rotating Scanner, used for high-speed scanning, a second drum scanner, using a CCD array instead of photomultiplier. Other types of scanners are planetary scanners, which take photographs of books and documents.
Another category of scanner is to scan a digital camera, which are based on the concept of reprographic cameras. With increasing resolution and new features such as anti-shake, digital cameras are becoming an attractive alternative to regular scanners. While still disadvantages compared to traditional scanners, digital cameras offer advantages such as speed, portability and smooth scanning of thick documents without damaging the spine.

Top 5 Most Interesting New Document Scanners
Here at home Click2Scan never update our website with new scanning technologies are released, some of which we find truly amazing and I would spread the word!
1. One of these is the recently released Cordless Scanner Visioneer is aptly titled "Mobility" Yes, it is true, the scanners are the next inevitable Cordless craze, which is able to operate without computers, without cables and without power - ideal for entrepreneurs , drivers or any businessman on the move.
2. Now we will enter the world of manic office environment. Downtime caused by the exploration division often imperfect documents of a variety of different paper sizes, and error messages and many breaks caused by staples, thicker paper, paper is too thin, curved slanted paper trays double paper. It gets a little too much, right? No wonder that many people turn to Luddism!
Now, especially for those who want to keep their sanity, Xerox has demonstrated DocuMate 4799, principally to fight against the kind of demanding environment described above.
3. Pushing the limits of large-scale production of class Fujitsu fi-5950, reaching speeds up to 500 pages into the ridiculous. Keep in mind, this machine can not sit on the table, jäädessä only 20 "x 21" x 21 ", as it is easy to spend 135 pages per minute (or 270 images per minute duplex) is certainly worth a look:
I could not believe my eyes when I saw a demonstration of this Fujitsu scanner in Hayes, London. The VRS (Virtual Rescan) the active material allows an impressive image quality, image correction is done automatically during the scanning process means you will not have to rescan the bad research.
4. Another portable scanner now, Fujitsu S1100, known as one of the smallest A4 mobile scanner in the world! This however requires a USB connection to your laptop, but it should not be a problem for all those business people who carry their laptop everywhere. For such a small scanner a scanning speed of 7.5 seconds / page color document at 300 dpi A4 is not bad at all.
5. The next scan is not as new as previous scans, so I'm kind of cheating here, but still impressive and worth mentioning. A control panel is accessible through a browser on your network, allowing full control of the machine from anywhere on the network and allows staff to create an address book of the recipients of the messaging function.
